Privacy Policy for Change DNS

CoolCool Studio ("we," "us," or "our") operates the mobile application Change DNS (No Root 5G/Wifi) (the "App"), available on Google Play as com.andevstudioth.changedns. This Privacy Policy explains what the App does and does not do with your information.

1. How the VPN Connection Works

To change DNS settings on Android without root access, an app must use the Android VpnService API. This is the only mechanism Android provides for this purpose, and it is why the App appears as a VPN and shows a key icon in your status bar.

It is important to understand what this does and does not mean:

• There is no remote VPN server. We do not operate any VPN, proxy, or DNS server. The App creates a local network interface on your device only.
• Your traffic is not sent to us. The connection exists solely to tell Android which DNS servers to use. Your traffic continues to travel directly over your normal mobile or Wi-Fi connection.
• We cannot see your activity. The App does not read, record, analyse, or forward your DNS queries, domain names, IP addresses you connect to, browsing history, or the contents of your network traffic.
• DNS queries go to the provider you choose. When you select a DNS server (for example Google DNS, Cloudflare, Quad9, OpenDNS, or a custom address you enter), your device sends DNS queries directly to that provider. Those queries are subject to that provider's own privacy policy, not ours. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of whichever DNS provider you select.
• Google Play Store is excluded from the local connection so that app downloads and updates continue to work normally.

2. Information Stored Only on Your Device

The following information never leaves your device. It is stored locally and is deleted when you uninstall the App:

• Your selected DNS server and connection state
• Any custom DNS server addresses you add
• Your app preferences, including theme, start-on-boot, and auto-connect settings
• Your App Lock settings and the reason for using the App that you optionally select during onboarding

2.1 App Lock and Biometrics

If you enable App Lock, authentication is performed entirely by the Android operating system using your device's existing biometric or device-credential setup. We never receive, see, or store your fingerprint, face data, PIN, pattern, or password. The App only receives a confirmation from Android that authentication succeeded or failed.

3. Information We Collect

The App uses a small number of third-party services to keep the App working, to fix crashes, and to manage subscriptions. Through these services, the following limited information is collected:

The App does not request or use the Android location permission. The approximate location described above is derived by our service providers from the IP address that is inherently visible to any internet service, and is not precise location data.

We are transparent about one point: this collection is currently required and the App does not yet offer an in-app switch to disable analytics and crash reporting. You can stop all collection at any time by uninstalling the App.

4. Information We Do Not Collect

To be explicit, the App does not collect any of the following:

• Your DNS queries, browsing history, or web traffic — see Section 1
• Your advertising ID — the App serves no ads, contains no advertising SDK, and the advertising ID permission has been removed from the App entirely
• Your name, email address, phone number, or postal address — the App has no sign-up, sign-in, or account system of any kind
• Your payment card or bank details — all payments are processed by Google Play; we never see or store payment information
• Your contacts, messages, photos, videos, audio, files, or calendar
• Your health, fitness, or biometric data
• A list of the other apps installed on your device

5. Advertising

The App does not display advertising of any kind. No advertising or marketing SDK is included in the App, no data is collected or shared for advertising purposes, and no data is shared with advertising networks or data brokers.

6. Subscriptions

The App offers an optional premium subscription that unlocks features such as unlimited custom DNS servers, App Lock, and the home screen widget. Subscriptions are sold and processed through Google Play Billing and managed using RevenueCat, which records your purchase and entitlement status so that your subscription is recognised on your device.

Billing, renewal, refunds, and cancellation are handled by Google Play under your Google account settings. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in the Google Play Store app.

7. Third-Party Service Providers

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We share information only with the following service providers, who process it on our behalf and are permitted to use it only to provide their service to us:

• Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config) — Firebase privacy information and the Google Privacy Policy
• RevenueCat — subscription management. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy
• Google Play — app distribution, billing, and the in-app review prompt. See the Google Privacy Policy

The DNS provider you select is not our service provider. Your device contacts it directly, and your relationship with that provider is governed by its own privacy policy.

8. Data Security

All information collected by the App is transmitted using encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS). Data stored on your device is protected by Android's application sandbox. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Data Retention

Information stored on your device remains until you delete it in the App or uninstall the App. Analytics and crash data are retained by our service providers according to their own retention schedules. Subscription and purchase records are retained by RevenueCat and Google Play for as long as necessary to honour your entitlement and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

10. Your Rights and Choices

• Stop all collection: uninstall the App. Because the App has no account system, uninstalling removes all locally stored data and ends any further collection.
• Disconnect at any time: turn off the connection in the App, or revoke the VPN permission in your Android settings.
• Manage your subscription: through the Google Play Store app.
• Access, correction, or deletion: depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to object to processing. Because the App collects no directly identifying information and uses no accounts, we may be unable to link a request to a specific individual. Contact us using the details below and we will do what we reasonably can.

11. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

12. International Data Transfers

Our service providers may process and store information on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States. Where required, these transfers are made under appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Significant changes will be communicated through the App or its Google Play listing. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
